My mom’s aunt never married or had kids, but she LOVED children. She was called Ciocia (Polish for Aunt) by everyone, and her baking skills were legendary. This piece was painted from family photo for Something Wicked show. Ciocia’s seemingly wicked eyes are actually bursting with pride and love for the boy.
I think she used to be a nanny for the boys family. I see him in some other photos with her, but I have no idea who he is.
